Z20 is a combined Heat and Power (CHP) solar energy generator. Patented revolutionary optical design and highly efficient solar cells result in a system concentration level of 1,000 suns. Z20 captures and delivers affordable renewable energy 75% efficiency in the field. Z20 is a reliable cogeneration solar power system that can be deployed as a distributed energy network. Z20 is a compact unit that can be installed close to the point of consumption, minimizing the need for infrastructure and real estate.

Two solar collectors of ~11m2 a dish, with 1,200 flat facets of thin mirrors concentrates the solar radiation on to a single ~100cm2 receiver. The receiver converts the solar radiation to electricity and thermal by means of high-performance photovoltaic (PV) cells, and a specially designed heat-exchanger attached to the PV cells.

DC electrical power from the PV cells is converted to AC power (4kWp) and fed to the utility grid or consumed locally. The thermal energy (11kWp), in the form of high temperature water (or thermal oil), i pumped by a Primary Pumping System (PPS) to the various usages and applications.
